Walker James Limited, the company that operated The Hybrid Games events throughout 2025, filed a notice of intention to enter administration on March 4, 2026, stating it is “unable to pay its liabilities as and when they fall due.”
The filing was submitted to the High Court of Justice Business and Property Courts in Leeds and appoints Zane Collins of Rushtons Insolvency Limited as administrator.
The insolvency filing comes two weeks after Hybrid Fitness Media reported multiple unpaid vendors, two County Court Judgements tied to the company, and a Maximum Risk credit rating for Walker James Limited.
Documented Debts and Vendor Claims
An audio/visual production company that worked the Hybrid Games Newcastle event in August 2025 previously told Hybrid Fitness Media it is owed more than £13,000 for production services.
“They owe me and my business partner over £13k for the Newcastle event. We supplied the audio visual and still have not been paid,” the vendor wrote earlier this year.
The vendor confirmed the invoice was issued by Walker James Limited, the company that has now entered insolvency proceedings.
Following the insolvency filing, the vendor said the debt is now unlikely to be recovered.
“Dale Walker from Hybrid Games has put his company into administration so we won’t be able to retrieve anything owed.”
Companies House records also show Walker James Limited received two County Court Judgements:
• £15,674 from Allen Transport in December 2025 related to haulage services for the Glasgow event
• £912 from another creditor in January 2026
A County Court Judgement is a legal determination that a debt is owed.
Business credit reports in early 2026 showed Walker James Limited carrying a credit score of 2 out of 100 with a “Maximum Risk” rating.

Three Companies in Eighteen Months
When asked how Hybrid Games events could continue after the insolvency filing, a vendor pointed to multiple Hybrid Games–related companies appearing in Companies House records.
“He’s set up a company called Hybrid Games Limited. Closed that down in November last year and now has Hybrid Games Events Limited. Clearly knows what he’s doing,” the vendor wrote.
Companies House records show several entities connected to Hybrid Games operations.
In January 2025, Dale Walker and Kieran Higgens incorporated The Hybrid Games Limited (Company #16181245). Higgens resigned as director on July 1, 2025. The company was dissolved via voluntary strike-off on November 18, 2025.
Walker James Limited (Company #14096819), incorporated back in April 2022, operated Hybrid Games events throughout 2025 including Liverpool in June, Newcastle in August, and Glasgow in September. This is the company that accumulated vendor debts, received two County Court Judgements, and filed the March 4, 2026 notice of intention to enter administration.
On July 31, 2025, Dale Walker incorporated The Hybrid Games Events Limited (Company #16617938) with Hannah Elizabeth George listed as co-director. This company remains active.
Financing Before Insolvency
On November 18, 2025 , the same day The Hybrid Games Limited was dissolved, both Walker James Limited and The Hybrid Games Events Limited granted debentures to Sir Jacob Behrens & Sons Limited, pledging company assets as security for financing.
As a secured creditor, the lender would be paid before unsecured creditors such as vendors during the administration process.
Upcoming Events
Hybrid Games currently lists events scheduled for Northern Ireland (March 21–22, 2026), Farnborough (April 11–12, 2026), a return to Newcastle (August 15–16, 2026), the venue of the previously reported unpaid audio/visual invoice, and Glasgow (October 10–11, 2026).
It remains unclear which corporate entity is operating those events or which company vendors are contracting with.
Prize Money Promised
In January 2026, Hybrid Games also announced a £50,000 season-ending prize pool for leaderboard standings.
As of press time, Dale Walker and Hybrid Games have not responded to requests for comment.

I’ve booked to do thier event in Newcastle this August & I’ve sent a message to them asking if it’s true about going into administration & their reply was “the hybrid games is alive & kicking & going nowhere” time will tell I suppose
Thanks for sharing. What the article reports is that Walker James Limited filed a Notice of Intention to Enter Administration on March 4, 2026, which is a public filing.
That filing does not necessarily mean events will stop, but it does indicate the company stated it was unable to pay its liabilities as they fall due and was seeking administration protection.
We have reached out to the organizers multiple times for comment but have not received a response so far. Hybrid Games is still advertising future events, and part of our reporting is trying to clarify which legal entity will be operating those events going forward.
If you hear anything further from them, feel free to share it here.
I can add to the number of unpaid suppliers out of interest. We are owed £25,000 from several events and Dale Walker keeps stalling on the back of a supposed third party getting involved with Hybrid and providing a cash injection as an investment. We suspect that is just a story weaved to buy time. Money is flowing into the business from ticket sales, the question is whether this is going into Hybrid Games Event Limited or Walker James Limited. Perhaps the venue of the up and coming Belfast event can be asked to comment who is paying for its services !!! Ticket sales we believe are through a third party ticketing business.
