About Hybrid Fitness Media

Hybrid Fitness Media covers the sport as it actually happens, on the floor, in the moments, and in the conversations around it.

This is not highlight clips or surface-level recaps. It is real-time coverage, athlete storytelling, and a running record of what is happening across HYROX, DEKA, and the broader hybrid fitness space.

If it matters in the sport, it gets documented here.

What We Do

Most outlets cover results. Hybrid Fitness Media covers context.

That includes the moments between races, the decisions that shape outcomes, and the questions that do not always get asked publicly. The goal is not just to report what happened. It is to build a record of the sport as it evolves.

Coverage is built from being on the ground at events, not reacting from the outside. This allows for real-time reporting, athlete access, and context that cannot be replicated remotely.

Content includes race coverage, athlete interviews, event analysis, and long-form reporting across HYROX, DEKA, and related hybrid formats.

Reach

Hybrid Fitness Media consistently delivers more than 1 million monthly views across Instagram, with strong non-follower reach and steady audience growth.

This is authentic hybrid fitness engagement. The audience is made up of athletes, coaches, and fans already inside the sport.

About Matt B. Davis

Matt B. Davis speaking into a headset microphone during live race coverage

Matt started a podcast about OCR in June 2012.

That project became Obstacle Racing Media, which grew into the industry’s leading source for news, interviews, and insight across the sport.

His work has been featured in Runner’s World, Muscle & Fitness, and Men’s Health. He has also served as a commentator or consultant for major obstacle racing organizations.

Over more than a decade, he has covered hundreds of races, events, and athlete interviews across obstacle racing and hybrid fitness.

When HYROX emerged as the dominant hybrid fitness format, he was already embedded in the community, covering Elite 15 fields, qualification systems, and athlete storylines as the sport developed.

As the sport evolved, he launched Hybrid Fitness Media to focus on the next phase of competition, covering HYROX, DEKA, and the broader hybrid fitness space with the same on-the-ground approach.

Editorial Approach

Editorial coverage is independent. Partnerships and sponsorships do not dictate reporting, race coverage, or athlete interviews.

Positioning

We are a media operation built inside the sport, with access, timing, and context that cannot be replicated from the outside.
