Last year HYROX unveiled a brand new qualification system for the HYROX World Champs, and launched the HYROX Majors and 2 Last Chance Qualifiers.

This season, the 4 Majors return, as well as one last chance qualifer.

The community has been waiting to find out the cities where the majors will take place with baited breath and we finally have them.

“However, the most significant development is the new Elite 15 qualification system. In the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons, athletes simply needed to achieve a fast time anywhere in the world to potentially qualify for the World Championships.

Last year, this system was enhanced by allowing athletes to qualify at one of the four Majors, requiring a top 15 time dating back to the beginning of 2023.

This season, HYROX appears to have responded to community feedback by implementing a two-factor qualification process. Athletes now qualify for a Major based on their two most recent top times within a rolling 12-month period. Once 12 months have elapsed, those times no longer count towards qualification for that Major.”

No longer can an athlete get lucky with one fast course and find themselves racing with the best. It will be more of a true meritocracy.

European Major – Amsterdam, Nederlands

Asia Major – Hong Kong, China

AsiaWorld-Expo, 1 Airport Expo Blvd, Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong

November 23-24, 2024 (4 months from now as of today)

North America – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas Convention Center – Main Hall

February 1, 2025 (6 months from now as of today)

Wild Card – Glasgow, Scotland
