HYROX has postponed its Valencia event, originally scheduled for November 23-24, 2024, to March 8-9, 2025, due to the devastating floods in Valencia. The event venue, Feria De Valencia, is currently being used for military and humanitarian relief efforts, prompting the organization to prioritize the community’s immediate needs.

HYROX has pledged €100,000 to disaster relief charities and donated resources, including 5,000 liters of drinking water, to support those affected. Registered athletes will have the option to transfer to the new date or receive a refund. The rescheduled March event will honor those impacted by the tragedy and celebrate the resilience of the HYROX community.

Thursday , November 7th, 2024 – Hamburg, Valencia HYROX has announced that in the wake of the tragic floods in Valencia, Spain and in light of the intense relief efforts underway our event planned for Sat 23rd/Sun 24th November will be postponed to March 8th-9th 2025. 

With the fast-changing scenario surrounding the disaster response in the area, the current use of our event venue the Feria De Valencia as a base for military and humanitarian efforts and the huge impact on the families and community in the local area. We believe the only reasonable action on our part is to clear the air for those organizations directly contributing to immediate relief.

HYROX extends its condolences to all those affected by this disaster and will make a donation of 100,000 € to Disaster Relief Charities to ensure that this effort has an impact on those affected, HYROX has also donated the 5,000L of drinking water purchased for the event, plus other smaller logistic efforts to transport necessary equipment.

All athletes currently planning to participate in this event will be transferred to the new event in March or issued a direct refund dependent on preference – all athletes will receive communication this week for next steps in the refund process.

In times of great tragedy sport has a unique ability to help heal wounds and bring communities together, this is not the time for this to happen yet. Our new event in March will be dedicated to the lives of those lost in this tragedy and a celebration of the incredible community of HYROX athletes in Valencia and across Spain.
