HYROX Washington, D.C. Major Women’s Results

In the women’s division, Lauren Weeks once again claimed victory, though this time Linda Meier, not Meg Jacoby, was her closest competitor, taking second place. Jacoby completed the top three, while Vivian Tafuto delivered a consistent performance to secure 4th place.

Kudos to Lauren Griffith for being the sole athlete at this event to secure a spot in the World Championships, finishing 5th with a time of 1:04:05. The top four finishers had already qualified, and since roll-down qualifications extend only to fifth place, Griffith made the cut.

HYROX Washington, D.C. Major Men’s Results

In a stunning display of athleticism, Dylan Scott led the men’s race from the onset, crossing the finish line with a commanding time of 56:37. His performance, coming just six days after achieving a rapid time at the Fort Lauderdale HYROX, secured his qualification for the World Championships in Nice, France.

The competition for the remaining World Championship qualifying spots was intense, primarily between Rich Ryan and Colin Stiefer, who came into the wall balls less than a minute apart. However, in a dramatic turn of events, Graham Halliday completed his wall balls in an astonishing 3:25, propelling him into 2nd Ultimately, it was Rich Ryan who clinched the final qualifying spot.

HYROX Washington, D.C. Major Women’s GORUCK Results

In the women’s GORUCK race, Lauren Weeks dominated for the second consecutive day, even though Coach and husband Anthony Peressini sent her out to run an extra lap.

Vivian Tafuto was a formidable contender, keeping close to Weeks for the majority of the race, but ultimately, Weeks proved unbeatable.

Lauren Rantala also put up a strong performance, managing to keep Camilla Massa at bay to secure the third spot on the podium with a finishing time of 1:08:05.

The GORUCK division was intensely competitive from start to near finish, with Jarrett Newby and Dylan Scott vying closely for the lead. Ultimately, Newby narrowly defeated Scott by a mere 2 seconds, securing victory with a time of 1:00:47. The battle for third place was just as thrilling, as Eric Williams managed to outpace Grady Jackson by 3 seconds, claiming the third spot on the podium with a finish of 1:02:10.
