HYROX has another double event weekend with events in both Dublin and Valencia happening this weekend. For Elite 15 hopefuls, this will be the last chance they have to qualify for the first Major of the season in Chicago on November 11th, 

The field in Dublin lacks big names as it is the first-ever event held in Ireland. However, last year’s Elite 15 qualifier Tom Hogan will be teaming up in the Mixed Doubles division with his wife Dena. 

In Valencia, there are many athletes who look to have their eyes set on an Elite 15 Qualifying time. Antje Hardes and Felicity Cole took the top two spots last year in Valencia and will look to take the podium again. Zara Piergianni, Daniela Couto, and Petra Arvela all had strong showings at last year’s Age Group World Championships that put them just outside qualifying. We hope to see at least one of the ladies join the Elite 15 field in Chicago. 

It is a deep men’s field as well headlined by a trio of Elite 15 athletes: Michael Sandbach, Joffrey Voisin and Peter Schiller. They will be challenged by two Spaniards who are currently in the top 20, Alfons Deu Ruiz and Rubén Patiño Vieites. DEKA Fit World Record Holder, Rylan Schadegg will also be making the trip to Spain with aims on a spot in Chicago.
