Hybrid Fitness Top 20 – September, 2023

We present to you our 3rd month of the Hybrid Fitness Top 20, which attempts to rank the Top 20 athletes in our sport.

Hybrid fitness is not an exact science. It is a term being defined by athletes, fans, and media members as this competition grows. Each voter has their personal criteria.

Each athlete received 20 points for every 1st place vote. 19 points for a 2nd place vote, 18 points for 3rd, and so on. If an athlete received the same points, the tie went to whoever had the highest vote on any particular list.

As you can see, we now include how many ballots each athlete appears on, plus the difference from the previous month’s rankings.

The current voters are:

Jack Bauer – Race Brain.

Dave Claxton – OFX.

Matt B. Davis – HFM. ORM.

Ian Kay – UKHXR. UKOCR.

Rich Ryan – Race Brain. Mile Hybrid Fitness.

Marcus Wallace – HFM.

This month’s rankings are exclusively sponsored by Resolute Coffee. “Resolute is born from a love of coffee and belief in the human spirit.”

Hybrid Fitness Top 20 Women

Since the last rankings, the top 5 women remain unchanged. Kris Rugloski moves up 3 spots most likely due to her winning The Grit Games and finishing 3rd at last weekend’s DEKA FIT in PA. There were no new athletes making the list and no women from last month’s list fell off the board.

Hybrid Fitness Top 20 Men

The top 5 men remain unchanged, and Dylan Scott moves way up to 6th after a dominant performance over several top 20 men at last weekend’s DEKA FIT in PA. Two new men, Nick Ryker and Colin Stiefer made the list while Jarret Newby and Anass Zhoury fell off the Top 20.

Let the debate begin.

I don’t understand why Beau Wills is nowhere to be seen on your list. He has a hyrox pro time of 58:37.
