HYROX recently announced the qualifying structure for the 2023-2024 season. There will be six qualifying events before the World Championships. The first event in Chicago will be the “HYROX Major” taking place on November 11, 2023. All times achieved in the calendar year 2023 will count as qualifiers. In addition, there are currently 12 races in which people can achieve a qualifying time on the schedule before Chicago. None of those events will be held in America. Here is where the qualifying picture currently stands for women.
Current Qualifiers for the first HYROX Major in Chicago by virtue of finishing at the World Championships or winning a regional championship:
- Lauren Weeks
- Meg Jacoby
- Belle MacFarlane
- Mikaela Norman
- Vivian Tafuto
All other spots will be based on the fastest times achieved by athletes in the 2023 calendar year. As it stands the remaining spots would go to:
- Mirjam Von Rohr – 1:02:00
- Alandra Greenlee- 1:03:42
- Rebecca Mason – 1:03:57
- Viola Oberlander – 1:04:07
- Janne Thomsen – 1:04:31
- Kris Rugloski – 1:05:05
- Linda Meier – 1:05:20
- Alina Willnow – 1:05:38
- Camilla Massa – 1:05:45
- Terra Jackson and Jezabel Kremer – 1:05:50
The next 5 athletes would be bubble athletes who could receive an invite if others choose not to attend:
- Jacqueline Lippenmeyer – 1:05:54
- Maria Fecik – 1:06:06
- Zara Piergianni – 1:06:12
- Kate Davey – 1:06:23
- Felicity Cole – 1:06:29
If a female athlete wants a guaranteed place at the first Major they will need to run under 1:05:50.
