The World’s First Fitness Competition for Everyone


Participation Conditions

CUROX is a competition for everyone. The following participation conditions apply. By participating in CUROX, you agree to these terms, data protection regulations, and liability release policies.

Requirements for Participation

  1. Participants must be of legal age in Germany at the time of participation.
  2. Participants must agree to the terms, data protection regulations, and liability release.
  3. Participants must register on www.curox.org within the specified deadline.

Registration

  • Individual Athletes: Register as an individual athlete in your desired category on www.curox.org.
  • Team Athletes: Participate with colleagues, gym partners, club teammates, or friends to compete with other teams or companies in Hamburg. Use the group registration option for discounts by filling out the contact form on the website.

Categories

CUROX offers the following categories and age groups:

  1. Individual Athlete
    • CUROX Man/Woman
    • Age groups: 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-99
  2. Pro Athlete
    • CUROX Pro Man/Woman
    • Age groups: 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-99
  3. Team Challenges
    • Corporate Challenge: Find Hamburg’s fittest company.
    • Gym Challenge: Find Hamburg’s fittest gym.
    • Club Challenge: Find Hamburg’s fittest sports club.
    • Team Challenge: Compete as a hobby or recreational team.

Performance Requirements

Participants are advised to meet at least 3 out of the following 5/6 criteria for category classification:

For CUROX Man/Woman:

  • 80 kg Back Squat
  • 70 kg Bench Press
  • 3 strict Pull-Ups
  • 20 unbroken Push-Ups
  • 1 km Run under 5:00 minutes
  • 500m Row under 1:50 minutes

For Pro categories, Women, and Beginner levels:

  • Adjusted weights and repetitions apply (e.g., 60 kg Back Squat, 1 strict Pull-Up).

Code of Conduct

Participants must behave fairly at all times. Unsportsmanlike behavior such as manipulation, disputes, interference with others, or offensive comments may result in suspension, disqualification, or legal action. Judges and organizers’ decisions are final.


CUROX Event Overview

CUROX HAM 01 takes place on November 18, 2017, in Hamburg’s exhibition halls. Participants must complete 8 events, each preceded by a 1 km run, totaling 8 km.

Event Criteria

Participants must adhere to the following:

  • Perform the prescribed exercises correctly.
  • Complete all movements and repetitions as specified.
  • Use the prescribed weights.
  • Follow the start and end point rules.

A judge will oversee each event to ensure compliance.


Movement Standards and Event Details

1. Ski Ergometer (1,000m)

  • Athletes must face the monitor.
  • The monitor must be reset to zero by the judge.
  • The platform cannot be left until the distance is completed.

2. Rowing Ergometer (1,000m)

  • Monitor must be reset to zero by the judge.
  • The rower may not be left until the distance is completed.

3. Sled Push (2x25m)

  • The sled and athlete must start completely behind the starting line.
  • Full completion of the 25m mark is required before turning.
  • Prescribed weights:
    • CUROX Woman: 75kg + sled
    • CUROX Pro Man: 175kg + sled

4. Sled Pull (2x25m)

  • The sled must start fully behind the line.
  • Athletes must stay behind the 25m mark while pulling.
  • Prescribed weights vary by category.

5. Burpee Broad Jumps (80m)

  • Each repetition starts upright, with the chest touching the ground, followed by a forward jump.
  • No intermediate steps are allowed. Violations result in repeating the last 10m segment.

6. Sandbag Lunges (100m)

  • The sandbag must be placed across the shoulders.
  • Rear knee must touch the ground with alternating steps.
  • Prescribed weights vary by category (e.g., 10 kg for CUROX Woman, 30 kg for CUROX Pro Man).

7. Farmer’s Carry (200m)

  • The carry starts and ends behind the line with kettlebells. Resting is allowed.
  • Prescribed weights:
    • CUROX Woman: 2x12kg
    • CUROX Pro Man: 2x32kg

8. Wall Balls (100 reps)

  • A target must be hit with the ball for each throw.
  • Proper squat depth is required.
  • Prescribed weights:
    • CUROX Woman: 10 pounds
    • CUROX Pro Man: 20 pounds
