Hybrid Fitness Media reported yesterday that FitLab-owned Ragnar Relay had canceled a race and faced allegations from vendors of unpaid invoices. FitLab employees have also experienced delayed payroll deposits.
In an internal Slack message shared with Hybrid Fitness Media by a FitLab employee, the company told staff it was “aware that some of you are missing payroll deposits for today.” The message said “additional funds are currently in transit for those impacted, but we do not yet have a confirmed time on when they will be settled in our accounts,” and that it believed it was “unlikely” the funds would be distributed by the end of the day.
As of publication, FitLab’s website lists eight brands under its portfolio: Assault Fitness, Electric, Mile High Run Club, Racked, Ragnar, RPM Training, XPT, and Y7 Studio.
FitLab CEO Brian Kirkbride has not responded to requests for comment.
Hybrid Fitness Media is continuing to investigate Ragnar’s operations and will provide updates as reporting develops.
