SHE’S BACK! Three-time world champion Lauren Weeks has reclaimed her spot at the top, dominating the HYROX Las Vegas Major and reminding the competition why she’s the queen of the sport. Meanwhile, Linda Meier, Amy Bevilacqua, and Lucy Proctor battled fiercely to secure their qualifying spots for the 2024-25 World Championships.
As expected, the Women’s Elite 15 race kicked off with Lauren Weeks taking charge from the start. Hot on her heels was Joanna Wietrzyk, the Hong Kong Major champion, who made up ground on the sled pull but couldn’t match Lauren’s relentless pace in the back half. Weeks turned up the heat and stormed to victory by more than two minutes—a dominant statement to the field.
Linda Meier proved she’s back in top form, fighting her way to a well-earned second place after overcoming early-season setbacks due to injury. Her comeback performance showed she’s still a force to be reckoned with.
Right behind her, Amy Bevilacqua and Lucy Proctor pushed the pace to lock in their Worlds spots. Amy delivered an outstanding season debut, while 21-year-old Lucy Proctor made a massive impact in her Elite 15 debut, earning her place among the best.
The top three athletes in each HYROX Major automatically qualify for the World Championships in Chicago this June. However, if any of the top three have already qualified in a previous Major, the spot rolls down to the next highest finisher, up to fifth place. Here’s who has secured their spot so far:
🇺🇸 Lauren Weeks – 58:12 (Amsterdam Major 1st place)
🇺🇸 Megan Jacoby – 58:44 (Amsterdam Major 2nd place)
🇦🇺 Joanna Wietrzyk – 1:00:12 (Amsterdam Major 3rd place)
🇬🇧 Kate Davey – 1:02:37 (Hong Kong Major 3rd place)

One final HYROX Major remains in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 9th. After that, there will be a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) in Barcelona, plus one additional LCQ on another continent.
